Do I need to pay a deposit?

For celebration cakes a non-refundable deposit of half the order value is required.

A non-refundable booking fee of £100 is required to secure wedding cake orders.

When do I need to order?

Orders are taken on a first come first served basis, so it is best to order well in advance.

How many portions will I need?

The number of portions you require will determine the size of cake you will need. The table below will help you choose.

 

 

How much are your cakes?

The price of your cake is dependent upon many factors including ingredients,flavours,complexity of design and the overall time taken to complete it.

Do you deliver?

Delivery is normally for wedding cakes only but can be arranged for celebration cakes if time allows.

A delivery charge is applied and is dependent upon the location of the venue.

Wedding cakes are delivered at a time to suit the venue and are set up on a cake table. It's a good idea to check if the venue is supplying a stand and knife.

How long will my cake keep fresh?

Fruit cake matures with age and will keep in an airtight container for many months.

Sponge cake will keep for about ten days if kept in an airtight container and stored in a cool place.

Do you provide samples?

Wedding cake samples are available on request but must be ordered at least a week in advance.

There's a design I like but it's the wrong colour. Can you change it?

Cakes are available in any colour scheme. It is helpful when ordering a wedding cake if you can provide a sample of the colour you require.

Can I hire a stand?

I have a variety of stands available to hire. A refundable deposit is required and it is the responsibility of the customer to return the stand within three days.

 

Can I put fresh flowers on my wedding cake?

Fresh flowers can easily be added to your cake but you will need to get a separate price for these from your florist. I will then liase with the florist to arrange decoration.

How do I cut my cake?

Cakes should be cut in half and then into strips which can be cut into portions.

Use a sharp knife with a serrated edge and wipe regularly with a clean damp cloth.
